Sonicare 7500: 21-day runtime and a clear light ring

The Philips Sonicare 7500 Series is the plainest handle in the Next-Generation family, and that is its appeal. There is no display and no coverage tracking, just four named modes, three intensities and a light ring that warns about pressure. What makes it stand out is the runtime: the listing title quotes 21 days, which is the longest battery figure among the Sonicare brushes on this site. For anyone who hates remembering to charge, that matters more than a screen.

- No display or EasyStart is mentioned in the listing.
Our take
Modes you can name without a manual
Philips lists Clean, Sensitive, White and Gum Health, each at three intensities, for 12 settings in total. Having a named Sensitive mode is useful: some cheaper Sonicare handles only say four modes and leave you to guess which is gentle. The White mode is there for polishing but it is one option among four, not the focus of the brush.
The handle uses what Philips calls Next-Generation Sonicare Technology, with Fluid Action said to drive fluid between teeth and along the gumline. SmarTimer is named in the title, so a two-minute session is timed for you.
Pressure warning and app pairing
Pressure feedback comes from a visual light ring that lights up when you brush too hard. It is a simple on or off signal, so it tells you to ease off but not by how much. The Next-Generation DiamondClean 8000 goes further with feedback that glows green when pressure is right and advice after brushing.
The 7500 also pairs with the Philips app for guided brushing, tips and personalised content. Without a display on the handle, the app is the only place to see anything beyond the light ring.
Charging, case and what is missing
In the box you get the handle, one A3 Premium All-in-one head, a charging travel case and a USB-A charging stand. Philips states the power adaptor is not included, so you will plug the stand into a laptop, a USB wall plug you already own or a USB socket. That suits a desk or a bathroom without a shaver socket, but check you have a spare plug before it arrives.
One head is the minimum, so replacement heads are an early purchase. The listing gives a weight of 376 g and dimensions of 32 x 28 x 240 mm for the item.
Who should look at another model
If you want a screen showing mode and pressure, the Next-Gen DiamondClean 8000 is the next step up. If your priority is spare heads in the box and a gentle start for a new user, the Sonicare 7100 includes four G3 heads and EasyStart.
Verdict
Buy the Sonicare 7500 if you want a modern Sonicare that you can leave alone for weeks, with a named Sensitive mode and a pressure light. Pick the Next-Gen DiamondClean 8000 instead if a display matters, or the Sonicare 7100 if you would rather have four heads and EasyStart than the long runtime.
