This Next-Generation DiamondClean 9000 pack is designed for couples or housemates who want matching smart sonic brushes without buying two separate boxes. You get two handles in Silver White and Midnight Green, each with an interactive display, coverage feedback and pressure feedback. The pair arrangement, with one charging stand and one charging glass, is what makes it different from every other Sonicare bundle in our guides.

  • Philips lists a 2-year limited warranty and a 100-day money-back guarantee on this set.

Our take

Feedback on the handle

Philips describes smart coverage feedback that glows blue on completed areas and a post-brushing summary on the display to help you retouch missed spots. Smart pressure feedback glows green when pressure is right, and the display afterwards shows where you need to adjust.

That means both users get guidance without opening the app, although the Sonicare app is available to track progress over time.

Settings

Each handle offers 7 modes and 3 intensities, which Philips counts as 21 settings. The modes are not named on the listing.

Philips repeats its Next-Generation claims of 20 times better plaque removal, up to 15 times healthier gums and up to 100 percent more stain removal in under two days, footnoted as manufacturer data.

What is in the box

The set includes two handles, two A3 All-in-One brush heads, one charging base with stand and one charging base with glass. There is no travel case in this pack, so it is best seen as a home set. Having a stand and a glass also means the two handles can live in different bathrooms if that suits your household.

Battery life and plug type are not given. Philips includes a 2 year limited warranty and a 100 day money back guarantee.

Compared with the 9900 Prestige

The Sonicare Next-Gen 9900 Prestige adds SenseIQ, an eighth mode and a Prestige charging travel case, but you get one handle. The Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 HX9911/63 is a single older handle with a light ring, a C3 head, a USB travel case and a quoted 14 day battery.

For a household that wants two brushes but does not care about the display, buying two DiamondClean 9000 handles separately gives each person a travel case. The pack makes more sense when the coverage lights and post-brushing summary are the reason for buying.

Verdict

The 2 pack is the right buy if two people want the same on-handle coverage and pressure guidance and mostly brush at home. A frequent traveller should pick the Next-Gen 9900 Prestige for its charging case and SenseIQ, while a single user who wants a stated battery life may prefer the DiamondClean 9000.
